It’s common to take time before saying yes. In fact, most people decide to join a healing retreat within the last six weeks. It’s not hesitation — it’s part of the process of preparing for real change.
Are you feeling anxious, frozen, or disheartened in life?
In uncertain times, it’s easy to lose touch with your body, boundaries, and future desires. The Yes! To Life Retreat offers a safe, supportive space to reconnect with your sense of wholeness—and move from fear and stuckness into embodied joy.
At this retreat, discover how to make your truth and personal power sources of strength and peace. Joining in person is your chance to prioritize yourself, release what no longer serves you, and return to life with clarity, choice, and grounded energy.
Even when the world feels unstable, caring for yourself is the most fulfilling investment you can make. Break free from fear, uncertainty, and scarcity—learn to live from your own yes, no, and maybe.
Co-taught by Dr Levine’s trusted colleague Barbara Collier, along with experts Dr. Saida Desilets and Aaron Michael, this retreat brings together a skilled, compassionate team to guide you through the experience.
Through grounded presence, movement, breath, and attuned practices, we will begin to re-inhabit the self—not as a performance, not for anyone else— but as a sovereign being in relationship with their own aliveness. This is the foundation for embodied wholeness: a kind of inner alignment where truth, pacing, and choice are not just concepts, but felt realities within the body. Together, in a respectful and boundaried space, we create conditions for healing—not through intensity, but through safety. Not through catharsis, but through attunement. Here, we honor each person’s unique rhythm, history, and capacity. This is not about intimacy with others. It is about restoring the inner connection that makes authentic relationship possible.
During this retreat, nestled in the breathtaking beauty of Costa Rica, you will explore:
Self-regulation & safety in the body
Recognizing and honoring your body's yes, no, and maybe
Releasing shame
Consent & boundaries
Presence & attunement
Trust & thriving
Solo attunement & enlivenment
Healthy, playful partner dynamics
Cultivating sexual sovereignty, honoring wholeness:
Sexual sovereignty is not something we acquire – it’s something we remember. A return to the quiet pulse of aliveness within. To the body as a wise, sensing being—not an object to be shaped, judged, or performed. This work is not about sexual expression or erotic touch with others. It is about listening—deeply, slowly—to what lives inside. To the subtle rhythms of desire, the boundaries shaped by lived experience, the body’s own timing, intelligence, and need for safety. We unlearn the patterns that taught us to override ourselves. We disentangle from the cultural and familial scripts that told us how to feel, what to want, or who to be.
This retreat is not just about individual freedom;
it’s about cultivating a deep and respectful relationship with ourselves in a way that honors our bodies, desires, and boundaries. It is an invitation to step into an embodied, attuned connection with ourselves—one that embraces presence, consent, and the art of titration, allowing for healing, transformation, and the unlearning of inherited narratives that may have shaped our relationship with sexuality and our bodies.
Through sensory immersion and deepening awareness,
we reconnect with our innate wisdom and our bodies’ intelligence, awakening to the richness of sensation and self-trust. In a supportive and judgment-free space, we move beyond shame and cultural conditioning, reclaiming our wholeness. In doing so, we create a more fulfilling, nourishing, and inspiring intimate life rooted in self-trust, inclusivity, relational presence, and mutual respect.
“When we come back home to ourselves and start to trust and live by our inherent genius, we become the unstoppable force of nature we were born to be.”

Why Pricing May Feel High To Some
At Imiloa, everything is designed to support your retreat experience from the moment you arrive in Costa Rica. Because it’s an all-inclusive retreat center, the venue charges us a single package fee based on the number of participants, and lodging costs are divided by room type. While it would be simpler if all rooms were the same, this system allows you to choose the level of comfort that best fits your budget and needs.
Yes, all-inclusive retreat centers come with a higher price than hotels or community spaces where lodging and meals are arranged separately—but the difference is transformative. At Imiloa, you’re immersed in a safe and serene rainforest sanctuary, with private access to the pool, waterfall, and trails, nourishing meals, and impeccable service from dedicated Imiloa staff that allows you to fully let go and focus on yourself - with no commuting or meal seeking to interfere.
Another bonus: the hopper flight is included in the venue fee, which normally would be an additional cost when traveling to remote centers.
What truly sets this retreat apart is our skilled and compassionate team of facilitators and support staff. From daily lessons, practices, and integration sessions to in-depth group work, movement, meditation, and nature explorations, our team ensures that participants receive support, guidance, and attention throughout the retreat. This depth of presence and care—combined with the extraordinary venue—creates a rare container for growth, connection, and transformation that simply isn’t possible in larger, hotel-based workshops.
We also provide pre-retreat materials, online gatherings, and post-retreat integration support so your experience continues beyond the week at Imiloa.
For questions, please reach out for a discovery call.

Why You Can’t Stay Offsite
This retreat center does not allow participants to stay off-site. The campus is closed and secure, creating a safe, immersive environment where you can fully connect with yourself, the group, and the natural surroundings. While we understand this might not be ideal for everyone, this approach is common at specialized retreat centers—and the care, attention, and support you receive at Imiloa are truly exceptional. They are experts in holding this kind of work, and if you join us, you’ll quickly see why leaving the campus during the retreat could disrupt your experience.
In addition, the center charges us a flat sum for everything they provide, based on an estimated number of participants, with beds pre-reserved for each attendee. Even if a bed went unused by a participant, the cost would still need to be covered, so your staying onsite helps ensure the pricing is fair and accurate for everyone.

Online Workshop - She Who Circles: A Ritual of Belly, Body & Becoming
She Who Circles: A Ritual of Belly, Body & Becoming
An Online Gathering for Women and Femme-Identifying Folx
Presented by: Arnyell Keitt, Addison Henc, Barbara Collier
Date & Time: Sunday, September 14, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM PT
Location: Zoom (link provided the evening prior)
*Recording Included
This is an invitation to return — to your hips, your belly, your breath.
To the place where your body remembers joy, sorrow, sensuality, strength, and the Creative.
In this somatically rooted, nervous system– and consent–attuned workshop, we weave together the ancestral art of belly dance with embodied practices that honor the sacred intelligence of your body.
Through the ancient practice of circle-wisdom, we will enter guided and spontaneous movement, celebration of one another, deep listening, grief ritual, and intimate sharing. Together we will soften shame, reclaim sensual flow, and reawaken our inner knowing.
Together we will:
Explore belly dance as an ancient form of feminine celebration and sovereignty
Reclaim the pelvis as a site of vitality, memory, and sacred power
Gently track trauma and shame stored in the body and offer space for compassion
Engage in grief ritual to honor what has been silenced, exiled, or lost
Reignite our erotic aliveness and embodied yes
Celebrate one another through voice, movement, and presence
This is not a performance. It is a reclamation.
Designed for a slow Sunday — a return to yourself, your breath, and your belonging.
Facilitators:
The three of us met through the vibrant, supportive community of EPSM (Embodied Psychosexual Method) practitioners, where our shared dedication to embodiment, healing, and sovereignty quickly wove us together. As students of Dr. Saida Désilets, whose work celebrates the integration of pleasure and presence. We each bring our own unique lens and lived experience — united by a common desire to create spaces where the body is honored and sensual aliveness can flourish.
Arnyell Keitt is a certified SharQui Belly Dance Fitness Instructor, Yoga Teacher, and Embodied Psychosexual Practitioner. She creates joyful, empowering experiences that help women feel radiant, confident, and deeply connected to their bodies through movement and self-expression.
Addison Henc is a licensed massage therapist, Embodied Psychosexual Practitioner, and steeped in years-long practice and facilitation of qigong. Connecting into Nature has been a large part of her becoming, and she encourages others through compassionate presence and nurturing touch. She lives and breathes holistic healing and is passionate about helping people tap into their innate self-healing abilities and connection to wilderness.
Barbara Collier is a licensed professional counselor, somatic trauma therapist, and Embodied Psychosexual Practitioner. Rooted in a lifelong relationship with nature, Barbara brings a reverence for the body’s intelligence, a capacity to hold grief, and a commitment to restoring the conditions for aliveness to flourish.
A Note on Belly Dance
Belly dance — often known in its places of origin as Raqs Sharqi or Raqs Baladi — is an ancient art rooted in the lands of North Africa, the Middle East, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Traditionally passed from woman to woman in kitchens, courtyards, and community gatherings, it was created for celebration, connection, and feminine solidarity — not for performance under a public gaze.
These dances honor life cycles such as birth, marriage, and seasonal gatherings, and their spirals, circles, and undulations arise naturally from the female form. Over time, belly dance has been both celebrated and distorted — romanticized, sexualized, and commercialized through a Western lens.
In this workshop, we honor its origins and the women who have kept its sacred fire alive, while bringing it into a contemporary context as a practice of embodiment, body appreciation, and sensual reclamation.
Date & Time: Sunday, September 14, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM PT
Location: Zoom (link provided the evening prior)
*Recording Included
Please prepare: a journal, a candle, and any items for a grief ritual — flowers, stones, photos, or objects of remembrance
Contribution: $72 USD
This 90-minute gathering is an offering from our hearts and bodies — a space to move, feel, remember, and celebrate together. Your contribution supports the work of three facilitators and helps us bring this experience to more women and femme-identifying folx.
Of equal importance to us is sharing the message that there are many pathways to work with health and trauma — ones that honor the body, nurture connection, and awaken the creative. Your presence is part of that ripple.
If the cost feels like a barrier, please reach out — we want this work to be accessible.

“Attending the Sedona retreat was a pivotal and life changing experience for me. It was here that I experienced a significant gear shift and paradigm change in my healing journey. The teaching and experiential work at the retreat enabled me to become aware of how and where trauma sits in my own body, its effect on my nervous system and the subsequent ways I unconsciously have related to myself, to others and to Life and the world. The depth of trust and friendships that formed with other participants as well as the team was both surprising and moving, especially in how that informed my personal healing process, opening me up to new possibilities and ways of relating I had not felt were possible for me before. This experience led me to continue my personal healing journey through SE and also to dive into the full SE professional training so that I could bring SE into my therapeutic work with clients, which has also been transformational.”
What is Attachment and Why Does it Matter?
Attachment refers to the deep emotional bonds formed between a child and their caregivers, which influence how we relate to others throughout life. From an early age, humans are biologically wired to form these bonds for survival, and the quality of these attachments shapes our emotional experiences, behaviors, and relationships.
The Roots of Attachment
Attachment theory, developed by therapist John Bowlby, explains that babies are born with a natural drive to connect to caregivers to ensure their survival. When caregivers respond consistently and compassionately to their needs, children feel safe and secure, creating a foundation for exploration and growth.
However, when this bond is disrupted—whether due to neglect, trauma, or inconsistent caregiving—the child may develop unhealthy attachment patterns that can carry into adulthood. These early relational experiences form a "blueprint" for how we connect with others, often influencing our relationships unconsciously.
Attachment and Adult Relationships
In adulthood, these attachment patterns affect how we handle intimacy, trust, and communication in relationships. From avoiding intimacy altogether to anxiously seeking reassurance, our attachment styles can create challenges and misunderstandings. Fortunately, attachment is not fixed. With awareness and healing, it’s possible to rewrite this blueprint and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
The Four Attachment Styles: How They Show Up in Adulthood
Understanding your attachment style is crucial to healing and growth. Here's a quick overview of the four main attachment styles and how they may appear in adulthood:
Secure Attachment
Trusting, compassionate, and open to intimacy.
Seeks and provides emotional support and healthy connection.
Avoidant Attachment
May avoid closeness, struggle with emotional intimacy, or fear vulnerability.
Tends to keep a distance in relationships, often feeling uncomfortable with dependence.
Ambivalent (Preoccupied) Attachment
Longing for intimacy but often anxious that others won't meet their needs.
May exhibit clingy or needy behavior and fear rejection or abandonment.
Disorganized (Unresolved Trauma) Attachment
Often rooted in past trauma, this style may create confusion and distrust in relationships.
May have a deep fear of getting hurt and struggle to feel worthy of love and care.
This retreat will help you understand these patterns and learn tools to heal and transform them.
Healing, Growth, and Connection
The Hope of Healing
The good news is that we are all capable of healing our attachment wounds. Neuroscience shows that the brain is naturally plastic, meaning it can change and adapt throughout life. Through the right support, guidance, and practices, you can move towards a more secure attachment style and experience greater intimacy, trust, and joy in your relationships.
Why Now?
Trauma, relational wounds, and early attachment injuries may have shaped your life, but they do not have to define your future. This retreat provides an opportunity to start a journey toward healing—one that empowers you to build stronger, more authentic relationships with yourself and those you care about.
What You Will Learn and Experience at the Retreat
This retreat is designed to help you explore your attachment style, heal relational wounds, and build stronger, more secure connections with yourself and others. Through a combination of group work and guided practices, we will work to release the impact of early trauma, build resilience, and help you feel more grounded in your relationships.
During the Retreat, you will:
Understand Your Attachment Style: Gain insights into your own attachment patterns and how they affect your relationships.
Heal Childhood Wounds: Through corrective experiences and somatic practices, you will address childhood wounds and restore safety and trust.
Transform Relationship Patterns: Learn new ways of relating to yourself and others, breaking free from unhealthy cycles.
Strengthen Emotional Resilience: Develop greater capacity for emotional regulation, joy, and fulfillment in your relationships.
Build Connection: Learn how to communicate more effectively and empathically, leading to deeper, more authentic connections.
Heal Family Patterns: Recognize how trauma and resilience can be passed down through generations and learn to shift those patterns.
“I feel that the program gave me new tools and a different lens that I didn’t have before. Diane’s workshops are life-changing!”
Our Healing Approach: DARe and Somatic Practices
Throughout the retreat, you will be guided in Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience (DARe) & Somatic Experiencing (SE), two powerful, evidence-based approaches that promote healing from attachment injuries. Dr. Diane Poole Heller, a leading expert in attachment healing, and her team of practitioners will support your transformation through:

DARe (Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience): A method for healing attachment wounds through safe, corrective relational experiences.
